MV Stena Immaculate in Great Yarmouth Outer Harbour after collision at sea

The MV Stena Immaculate was brought into Great Yarmouth Outer Harbour on Friday, and as it turned out was berthed not too far from one of my preferred flying spots.

I’m quite proud of the final shot, as purely by coincidence a seagull was flying the length of the ship from bow to stern in almost perfect sync with my tracking shot. Tried to focus in on it in post but definitely more accident than design!

That’s a great video of a newsworthy subject - can’t believe it’s sitting there all alone….
The seagull is definitely the star of the show though. That’s a great panning shot. Try selling it to Getty….,

Considering the inferno depicted on the news, doesn’t look that bad.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I didn’t see it tbh I did hear something about it but didn’t take much note so was the first time I’ve seen it.

Oddly it wasn’t as bad as it looked thanks to a very quick thinking crew on the Stena.

It could have been a whole lot worse but it doesn’t take away from a sailor losing his life.
