My first race gates

The boy and I had some fun making our first attempt at some multi GP 5ft race gates (on the cheap)

Screwfix 25mm conduit 10x2m £17
Temu 12x47in hollow pool noodle £20

We got 3 gates out of it and printed some hinge thingys off of thingyverse in TPU.

Need some big pegs/stakes for them now. Anyone got any improvements or ideas on how to build more? I’d like to make some of the other style gates.

I am also looking into those and possible alternatives - here are some others that caught my eyes

use popup goals (6ft) and just cut the net off - seen them sold at £40 a pair - something like

and just found those massive ones on sales (£10!) at the European Bonka distributor - should be perfect to practice with the X-Class - ordered 4 of them (not delivered yet)

Now need to find a place where I can setup those (one thing to have a chair and a landing pad on the edge of a field - starting to setup gates may be seen as a tad more invasive

@Baconfeatures those look awesome just the thing I’m looking for for the winter. Which LED strip did you end up using?

I did them with the stick on strips initially that come on a roll but had to link them all together with bell wire which was a bit of a faff in a venue so i just bought the LED christmas lights with the aa battery pack and fed them through
