I keep seeing people say this. Why? It’s the flattest, most obstacle-free environment… The consequences of crashing might be worse, but the chances are much lower!

I think it’s partly that as a newbie you don’t have the muscle memory of moving the sticks the right way. And partly that it’s a very expensive loss if it goes in the drink! And I keep seeing that the drone can get confused as to where the surface is, with reflections etc.

Just nerves, though, really :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Adrian! this is my first video, not my first flight, I have been flying for about 2 years on and off, as I used to have a Phantom 3, and now I have a Mavic mini, and now I’m actually using it for video and stills.
