Some how Colin, I can’t see Plod walking around with a basic set of scales let alone scientific ones. A couple of grams either way is of no consequence really
(says someone who’s drones takeoff weight is over 1.7kg). . . . ![]()
Or just get out and fly the thing.
Hi @milkmanchris. I surely will.

Hi Dave. To quote @ResilienceUAV from earlier in this thread… I suspect it will be all good until it isn’t.

I good motto for life in general
Just to be sure everyone is aware. All scales have a degree of tolerance on them which depending on the scale can be as high as +/- 10%. I would advise checking the scale documentation .
As do all car speedometers, apparently.
Maybe we should run a poll to see how many members have had their drone weighed by a member of authority ![]()
The only time my drone has been weighed by a member of authority is when I crashed into my crotch. I can tell you my member didnt have any authority left after that ![]()
I’ll get my Mum to weigh mine at the weekend before she retires. She works for the Police! ![]()
I’m pretty sure that will bring the grand old total to “let me see here” ONE! ![]()
Mine is 158.2 g. Battery is 79.7 g. Gimbal cover is 5.0 g.
Speaking of crees how do you deal with not blinding yourself when you have landed and need to turn them off?
You get used to it, eventually. I have mine underneath the rear legs, bring it down a bit ahead of me, towards me at eye level then hand catch. No problems with the strobes.
Then I turn it over to turn off the power and regret it ![]()
