Nearly crashed my drone today! Somebody tell me what I did wrong

Yes that does work, and I find it better than the touch screen. Nice video BTW. Well done.

Thanks a lot guys for all your input, I’ve only been a member for A few days and it’s great to see the community spirits and everybody trying to help.

Hopefully all is well that ends well. I did manage to get quite a few shots on the day and also managed to get my first video on YouTube. I had great fun, playing with all the effects on “LightCut”

Hope you all enjoy!

Looking at the Airdata and the flight on Google Maps. I agree with the others that the Activetrack must have been actively searching for the target and because of the height it couldn’t have been the vision sensors causing the problem

It’s something I’ll have to be more cautious for next time

Would make a good report for Chirp: https://chirp.co.uk/

WOW, I enjoyed your video clip. For a new pilot you did really well. The control of the drone is one aspect. The hard work I find is in the editing there are so many aspects to it that I find daunting but hey I am an oldie. It takes a while to sink in. I tend to film when the UK weather allows. Then spend the Autumn / Winter Months editing the years footage. It gets me through Winter. For what it’s worth I think you are doing great and can only go from strength to strength. By the way “Welcome” to a great helpful group where there is always someone who has been there, done that, and earned the cap badge. Nigel G

MrHappy, Like you I am finding drone flying very satisfying but hard on the nerves.Been a member now for a couple of months, and couldn’t do without the help from members on this site, as they say there is no such thing a s a silly question, but I keep coming back to this, If you are asking a question, then you do not know the answer, often responders assume you have some idea of your answer, but most time you do not, consequentially responders of are still way to technical for a 78 year old to fully grasp and understand. Not getting at the community, they are great, it must be my age, sorry guys

If you are finding the replies too complicated, or anyone is for that matter . Just ask the responder to simplify the answer. Im sure all would happily do that.
