I want a drone mainly for traveling going phillipins a lot I am looking at Mini 3 and air 3 new to this any help with my choice will be appreciated many thanks

Mini series more travel friendly, why not the mini 4 maybe ?
best bet check the phillipines restrictions on drones to save you hassle , best bet would be the mini 3 Pro or the mini 4 pro
Just look at Mini 4 I can do that just wonder if the air is better cam no restrictions in Philippines up to 5 KG

were you looking at this page? i mean like kirky said the mini series is ya best bet for travelling as not having to worry as much if you have a bigger drone, but the Air can handle winds a bit better as its heavier buut the mini will help more restriction in other countries etc

Also bear in mind, although the restrictions are ok in the Philippines for the air 3, but you may find your more restricted with the air 3 in the uk, as suppose to the mini 4 pro or mini 3 pro, I take it your in the uk ? I did look at your profile but could not see where you was from, I was not being nosey just trying to narrow down maybe the best option for you 
OK m8 I am in the UK but my wife is Filipino so we go a lot and probably will end up there permanent in the Near future I am not really interested in too much flying in uk but maybe buy the mini 4 pro I think I can use the same controller for some of the other dji but not the air 3 I will do my profile thanks
Yes the mini 4 pro controller is compatible with the air 3 as it’s ocusync 4, the controller for the mini 4 pro & air 3 is not compatible with the earlier / older drones.
If there is no problem with weight then for me it would be the air3 any day , it has rock solid signal strength and signal quality and it can handle the wind . I only fly in the uk and I’ve own the original mini and a mini 2 and I understand that the mini 3 and 4 are better than both those but the mini 3 was / is plagued with signal problems unless hacked but the air3 is as far as I found faultless , it’s all personal choice but for me it would definitely be the air3 .

Thanks for the info as long as I can get practice on the air 3 in the UK I will be happy still trying to make sense of the regs so the air 3 control will work with mini 4 pro as well but not with older units

Going for air 3 I know I’m a new user but I’m a flight sim pilot so I have some insight got 6 month to learn properly before going Philippines on holiday by the way happy Christmas to you all and families
sim flights are more for the FPV drone nmot GPS style drones ( stationary)
Well it’s good to learn something new even at my age 
Just check the regulations on where you can fly it when practicing in the UK since its is >250g. And unless you have the A2 CoC the whole 150m from recreation / residential areas thing in the UK is pretty restrictive.
The UK regs are tough I will have to take the licence for uk or go for under 250 g
Checkout flying under article 16 which will give you more freedom for a drone over 250g,
Also check grey arrows good to go to see what you can or cannot do with article 16.
