This is the unedited video of the 1st Jan Flyaway
The track of the drone path on the map looks nothing like what I saw
To me it had a wobble then shot off in pretty much a straight line so not sure where the loops and jagged lines came from
@SparkyFPV this was the one a few days earlier

It seems the satellite positioning issue occurred earlier in the flight, rather than where it was first indicated in the flight log at 0m 52.0s. The data suggests the drone started flying away from the home point almost immediately after takeoff. Meanwhile, you were only increasing the throttle, which should have only caused it to hover directly above the takeoff point.
Where did your Neo take off from during this flight? Did you possibly place it on some type of magnetic metal object to protect it from the sand?
Hi @msinger, great insight, thanks for sharing
It also looks as though you’re quite new here
Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself.
Scratch that @msinger the penny has just dropped, I thought your name rang a bell.
You’re Mike Singer, he of phantomhelp.com fame from waaayyyyy back in the day
Welcome to Grey Arrows
It was on a wide wooden handrail maybe a meter off the ground so away from the sand
That leads me to think the GPS date is wrong in some way. The video from the Flight looks as I experienced. Just a straight ascent directly above my head then a 360 yaw. It didn’t move from Home at all despite what the the GPS track maybe says…weird
I wild stab here I know very little about science or that kind of stuff is there not magnetite in sand that maybe added to the gps or compass errors, it’s ok to laugh if I’m way off
When you get a hardware failure the data wont be consistent
I would say its not far off watching the video and looking at the data
You were yawing around at this point and after a full circle it just goes
You can also see the drone tips up not long after
I’ve never come across any confirmed cases of sand causing compass interference. In most situations, interference is typically caused by taking off near a magnetic metal object. Often, that object is located within a foot or so of the drone.
did you have cruise control set up, with the back button
Solid wood? If so, that shouldn’t cause an issue like this.
While the flight paths in your logs resemble those typically caused by magnetic interference, it doesn’t appear that you’re doing anything that would usually trigger such interference.
Just to confirm, you don’t have any magnetic metal objects attached to your Neo, correct?
No
Yes solid wood beach huts. No nothing additional added to the Neo. Just like it came out of the box.
This was a replacement Neo as I touched a twig with the first one at almost stationary and only a few meters off the ground. It had a soft landing onto downward sloping grass but that was enough to make it rattle inside and mess up the gimbal. DJI kindly “repaired” it for free but it was a different serial number so they replaced it. Maybe with a defective repaired one ?. I hadn’t flown the replaced one much since the replacement
Is there a possibility that the hotels, have some form of anti-drone equipment installed / in-use?
Or may be it’s the radars from the boats that are moored up there. I read some where that some private yachts have that sort of technology fitted.
That did cross my mind given Turkey’s high risk terrorism situation.
Dji has said not to fly over water, this effects the drone sensor on the under side, and this can make the drone do stupid things also if it lost signal over water, it will not come back, until you get closer to the drone or it falls in water, The neo does not handle poor contrast very well water, sand, ice, snow,
90% of my flying is out on open sea and at times less than 10 feet from the water. I’ve been flying like this for about 3 years now and never had an issue.
Does the Neo react differently?
