The lykus cases are really good, I have one but there are other good ones / alternatives out there but the Lykus ones are well built.

When using the hard case for the RC2 controller, is it best to remove the two sections of foam or just the one?

Are you referring to this piece of foam ?
As I only see the one piece for the 2 different types of controllers as in picture below,

Thanks you answered my question. When mine arrived it didn’t show you what parts of the foam to remove, so I didn’t know the you could expand the other areas for storage.

Fly without the sticks, take em off and chuck em in the bin. I find I get much better control that way. Give it a try, you might like :+1:

Sounds uncomfortable.

Youve just reminded me that the sticks on this controller have a male thread sticking out, dont they? My mini 2 and air 2 have female threads, so nothing sticking out to jab into the thumbs!!!

Fly into the wind on your way out or you could loose your drone if it can’t get back if the battery is low.

I did think you were joking!

Yes you can indeed.

Very handy if flying at the bottom of big hills or cliffs , or if in foreign climbs where regs are different (France for example where it’s 150m)

I had a go at sport mode, wow it can certainly move and change direction, I soon put it back in to normal mode.
If mine went above 120m, I would need a telescope.
I’ve taken some aerial footage, but left it in 60fps/4k and after 2 mins I had created a 2.5GB file :astonished:

Does make sense at sea level. Need to remember that, but no doubt I would forget to set it back to 120m.

It throws up on screen warnings come what may if you exceed 120m above take off point

Always makes sense to have it a big higher in case you need to get out of trouble quick (officer honest)

Ah OK, so if you go above 120m it does remind you?
Probably good to know.

Above takeoff point yes , you can keep on flying upwards but the ‘nagbox’ is very noticeable

Distance can be deceiving you may be closer or further away then you think from obsticles. If you can see sky around your drone then you are very unlikly to run in to a probkem with obsticles.
