Started to build the new drone gates today.
Main frames built, just the final few pieces to sort.
One of which is the missing LEDs, right?
@LloydRey set the bar pretty high at the last BM
I see you made them bigger Jason has your drone grown
Hopefully finish them tomorrow, then all will be revealed
Designed them with inclusivity in mind, so the DJI Mini’s fit though.
Plus didn’t want to damage the new Neo, testing them
Love em will the neo fit through OK?
I’m thinking the mayor is popping round to do the big switch on (like the Christmas lights)
Crikey, you could probably fit a couple of dozen Neo’s through there ( and still have room for an Inspire)
The shear volume of neos at the next meet will make that gap ridiculously tight
Nothing wrong with that at all, good work Jason
ALL FINISHED & READY FOR THE NEXT MEET.
(video shot with IPhone, it’s too dark and late, to send the Mini 3 Pro up)
Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a new bar
You were bang on with that comment
I had this idea, when travelling home on the Sunday from BIG MEET part 2.
I then set about designing them, whilst laying on a sun bed in Turkey.
Plans and shopping list below -
Lights and rubber hose from AliExpress.
Frames are made of 21.5mm overflow pipe from Screwfix.
Black gaffer tape and Velcro cable ties, from the back of the garage.
The frame is sprung loaded, with 4mm shock cord in the same way modern tent poles, make it easy to erect and dismantle.
Meanwhile on the other side of Nottingham Jason is trying out his new drone gates
I like to keep my grey matter busy, when I relax otherwise I go to sleep didn’t want to do that, when the temperatures were silly hot, it reached 39 degrees C
on two days.
