New member to the forum and to the hobby based in Sutton Surrey.
I am a keen amateur photographer and love taking photos of the landscapes around Surrey.
Have been considering a drone to get some nice arial photos so have settled for a DJI Mavic Mini as my first step into arial photography - although it doesn’t do RAW (the mini 2 was bit too steep for my first foray)
Looking forward to reading the wealth of information on here and getting some airtime and pics.
@Panagiotis welcome to GADC, if you’re a keen photographer i give you 6months before your drone collection has expanded once you see the capabilities of the ma2 and m2p. Good luck resisting the urge
Hi,
I think you’ll find that flying is not permitted in Nonsuch Park. Your nearest flying fields are Croydon Airport. ( Croydon) Beddington Park and Roundshaw Park
(Sutton). You’ll need to check the bylaws for both councils for timings.
But there is a flying area in Morden Park which is a little difficult to find unless you know the park. It’s normally quiet there but you need to keep a lookout for dog walkers.
This is a shot taken with my Mavic air. The shadow bottom center is mine.
I’ve never had an issue flying at Nonsuch, as it so close to home and walking the dog so often have it in the car and pop up for a quick flight before heading home etc Often see drones and quads there. They often race in one of the fields there too.
No one has ever said anything including the park keeper who I chat to daily.
One from the other day on my way out from there, small tweak to bring out the crazy sky.
