New Pacific 24 - low altitude fun? (Royal Navy drone boats)

Love to know the cost of one of those.

I doubt that it will be pocket money pricing. BAE make the boats and, I suspect, much of the control equipment.

A 26-year-old example is for sale here at 45k:

Add in a Pixhawk controller, some heavy-duty servos and decent TX / RX and you can make your own version for just a grand more.

But with BAE being a defence contractor I’d reckon on around 500k once the systems are in series production. I’ll see what I can find out.

Navy APAC on test

4.5 years from “ready for testing” to “tested”?

We may as well disband our military if that’s a reflection on their ability.

Will it spend most of its life in a boatyard like the carriers have theirs in shipyards! :joy:

You can tell by the foam that they were pulling some doughnuts before things got serious for the camera.

DJI will have one in their labs and be reverse engineering it.
Or probably its their tech already.
