The ‘Thumb Grippies’ seem to have disappeared - but there is a new UK manufacturer in town ![]()
Just placed an order ![]()
Let us know how you get on ![]()
Nice one! Have been searching for these. Ordered a pair of Toadstools ![]()
Hi all, I’m Karl, I run PricklySticks and am also a long-time FPV racer around the UK.
I saw this thread via a referral and wanted to pop by and say thanks for the support.
Everything’s designed and printed by me, so if there’s ever a shape/colour you want that doesn’t exist yet, just give me a nudge.
Those who orderded may have just seen an order complete email - yes, I really did just drop them off at the postbox ready for tomorrow’s early collection. ![]()
Hi @KPV and welcome to GADC
i might order some of these for myself
Add to my bookmarks, will be ordering a set of them.
Excuse my ignorance but what controllers do these fit? Would rather like some for my Atom 2.
Check on your radio if you can unscrew the stick ends - if so you will likely find out they use an M-3* or M-4* threaded shaft - you could then buy the relevant aftermarket one to use instead.
(for some reason you cannot post M-3 without the dash
)
Thanks, it’s an Atom 2, Potensic don’t provide that level of detail. 3rd party sticks are available but none I’ve found have any sort of dimensions.
I’m not familiar with the Atom 2, but from the pictures I have seen it seems to use the DJI style stick ends where it has a short male thread on the base of the stick end. Usually M-3 and M-4 are the common thread sizes for transmitters, but I have heard of M-2.5 being used occasionally.
A resin printed male thread presents a few small problems, with both the manufacturing and it’s durability, so the best workaround is to use a female thread with a long-ish grub screw as an insert.
There is also a potential issue with the base of the stick end fouling the gimbal surrounds at the extermes of travel, so depending on the transmitter model it needs to be really slim at this point.
I will do a few experiments this week and see what i can come up with.
Thanks and yes it’s very similar to the DJI controller. Let me know if any photos of the controller would help and I don’t mind sending you a spare stick if that helps you.
Because an “em three” is a submachine gun and the forum thinks you might be inciting a riot, so it’s censored you. ![]()

Might try some spinners out
Thanks for the heads up! ![]()

Did the ends include the threaded parts? Or do I need to purchase separately?

That was my thought process too ![]()
Yeah - there is a female thread insert already in there (to fit the existing threaded shaft) - and a nut to adjust the height if required
So I would need to source the suitable gauge threaded bar because the RM Pocket Original Sticks have the threaded part included.
