New User with a Karuisrc K610 drone

No thanks needed, Rutty, glad if I can help. Not sure about ‘knowledge’, I’m not far up the learning curve myself and know how confusing and unintuitive some of this stuff is at first, but you soon pick it up. The weather is crap for flying because it’s winter, and that at least means you have time to browse through the manual, but not all manuals are as clear as they could be and full of initials and jargon (FPV, TOAL, UAV, VLOS, &c) which are not all as obvious to newbies as the writers think they are. Then you get some in Chinglish, which are laughably meaningless but well-intentioned…

RTH won’t work from less than 20m away because it already thinks it’s home, it’ll probably go into a hover for you to land manually. This will be in the manual somewhere, but print is often tiny and you’ll have to look for it. It’s worth taking the time to read the manaul and familiarise yourself with it, though, perhaps in sections over a few days since a good bit of it will be a bit techy , because there is usually a lot of information that comes in very useful when you are flying.

Cheers again. I live in Spain so the weather is a little better here although we have entered a cold spell following the awful floods in recent times!

Yes the manual is not the best,it has around 6 or so pages in English, then about 5 or so different languages.

I will play around with it in our field where its safer, also familiarise myslef with the features. I need to learn how to.photo and video as well!

Hi Guys,

I have decided to send the first drone back, several reasons but mainly very poor battety life! Allegedly 30 mins fly time but so far only 10 mins then swap battery!

I am consdiering the DJI Mini 4k or maybe open to suggestions?

We have moved your post to this thread you started about the K610

Thank yoy.

If you let people know your budget you’ll get some suitable recommendations.

Say around £300/euros.:slightly_smiling_face:

Any thoughts on the following:

DJI 4K Frone
Potensic ATOM SE

TIA :slightly_smiling_face:

€250

You get change as well :+1:

Good drone?

Easy to set up and use? I fpund the last one awful to set up, really sketchy with sat links etc?

there is a reason DJI are a market leader in this - supper easy to fly and they basically fly themselves really - you will love it and you will be in disbelief that you had such a rubbish experience with that other drone

I’ve not owned one myself but many others here have,

Piece of cake just follow the instructions or watch a video on YouTube there’s plenty out there,
Great drone for the price excellent quality as well.

Morning from a chilly España!

Thanks for the honest advice.

I like the follow me feature as we are skiers etc so that would be useful.

I will take a look. You mentioned apps as well for the follow me control so how do they work?

There are no apps that are compatible with the Mini 4k other than the DJI fly App

Does the DJ fly app allow obstacle avoiding and follow me?

The DJI Fly app is used for a lot of different DJI drones, so while the app may support many different features, the various drones may not.

As above, the DJI Mini 4K drone does not.

Morning,

I am checking out the DJI mini pro 4 and Potensic drones.

I have just read the mini pro 4 has follow me and avoidance, is this the case or am I being mislead?

Does the DJI Mini 4 Pro have follow me mode?
DJI Mini 4 Pro is an ideal follow-me drone for beginner photographers and videographers looking to capture footage from unique perspectives. It offers advanced features that make it easy to track moving subjects, such as obstacle detection and avoidance sensors and ActiveTrack technology.

Yes but the Mini 4K doesn’t
