Newbie Advice - Do I buy a second hand RC2 or a screen holder for the RC N3 and an IPad Mini 5?

a grand for old tech. Jeeeeeeeez.

Aging .. but also built like brick shit houses.

That has to be worth something .. right?

bet they aren’t squaddie proof.:rofl:

That’ll be their £2k model … :winking_face_with_tongue:

Just got one of those holders for an iPad that fits the RC N3 controller.

Fits fine but the weight of the iPad makes it very unwieldy so I guess it’s back to the RC2 option.

Anyone got one for sale at a reasonable price?:grin:

My Tripltek tablet isn’t light - but a lanyard suitably attached makes it all very comfortable in use.

Same issue with the DJI CrystalSky.

But as Dave said, if you attach a lanyard to the most central point you can, rather than to the bottom of the controller, the lanyard will take all the weight and make it a pleasure to fly with

ok This seemed the best option for me.

Bought an IPad Mini 5, a mount and a 30mm cable.

Closer so easier to read and a sunshade is in the process.
First flight went OK.

I have an almost new RC2. I got it with my new mini 5 pro but being an idiot gadget freak decided to buy the RC Pro 2. Open to offers if interested.

Thanks Darren but I think having flown a couple of times now with the IPad Mini I will stick with it for a while, it seems to work fine.

Made a strap mount to bring the point close to the centre so it doesn’t touch the iPad.
Seems a decent compromise.

Just to show how an absolute bargain can come up on Amazon now and again, I nearly pushed the button on this a few months back
