Newbie from Rotherham S.Yorks

Hi everyone, a complete novice to drones. I have been doing photography for more than 10 years and always wanted to have a drone but a new lense, body or some other expensive equipment always jumped the queue (you know what it is like having an expensive hobby).
I havent been able to get out to do many shoots this year so when I saw the price of the Mini 2 and the fact it shoots RAW I decided to go for it, buy it now learn to fly it later.
Came across the Grey Arrows website this afternoon and thought it might be the ideal place to find like minded people and info on the best places to fly.
Just wish it would stop snowing so i can get the thing in the air. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the welcome @DroneGeek and @SeaHunter, as for types of photography I have done a little bit of landscape a lot of people but my favourites are long exposure and freeze frame.

Hi @MrTaxi and welcome to GADC, lots of us in Yorkshire, and in more normal times we get out and meet, if thats your thing.

As for places to fly, check out our very own DroneScene for member recommended places to fly as well as all the tools you need for pre flight planning.

Good choice on the M2, great little drone that can go anywhere ;o) look forward to seeing some of your captures.
