Here’s a short video of the steam train as it passed Kelling Heath holiday park in October (2023). I hadn’t checked the timetable, but purely by chance the train was passing just after I put the drone up. Unfortunately because of all the trees the signal was lost at around 250 metres and the drone turned away to return home. Fimi A3, not a huge range in the best of conditions. But the train had just left the Kelling halt so I was easily able to keep pace with it.
Hi, @Astropetev
I edited your post to enable the embedded player.
For this you need to post just the YouTube URL on its own line.
So, rather than …

… (that you had inline with the text) …just …

Thanks for that - a long time since I posted, and I’d forgotten that trick!
Ages ago (2021) I’d posted about the Hubsan Zino Mini SE. That Summer I lost my Fimi A3 in dense woodland when the battery suddenly went awol. I took the plunge and bought a Hubsan on Amazon. First flight was great, BUT there was something seriously wrong with the camera - wouldn’t do other than 720P and even that was terrible quality. Tried both Android and Apple apps to no avail. So got my money back and bought another A3. Unfortunately it turned out to have the dreaded lens fog fault, but eventually I cured that as you can see from this video - it was only a small part of all the stuff I took at Kelling. Of course the quality is affected a bit by YouTube.
I still quite fancy the Hubsan mini SE, particularly as I now have a smart phone with a large bright screen, but for some reason they have replaced the drone with what they call the ‘Refined’ version. Looks great with a carbon fibre body, long flight time and decent camera. BUT it weighs 255 grams! What are they thinking I wonder - pretty well kills the UK market unless one takes a chance!
Cheers,
Peter
