Edited mine before work this morning, and set it to render… Its now uploading, will share as soon as its done… A good close flypast by a pigeon at 50 seconds in, proper blink and you will miss it - a closing speed of 97 to 137mph, depending on his speed!

One lucky pigeon :bird:

Glad I attended, made to feel most welcome and very enjoyable. As a ‘newbie flier’ there was a few things I wanted to gain from the day which I’m happy to say I achieved:

  1. Take my drone above 50 metres in height
  2. Fly without being judged
  3. Be brave enough to fly over water
  4. Try to get a pic of the sunken barges

Looking forward to the next meeting to concentrate on camera/stills.

ps - apparently I’ve got to write to Father Christmas and ask him for some of them little strobe lights!!

Agreed, great pics and well done on capturing the barges… Never should be any judgement in the forum or at a meet, if there is just let the mods or the meet organisers know and they will take care of it… Grey Arrows is a non-Drone Police forum

Thanks Nic, it was moving fast - they fly at 50 to 60 mph noormally and can hit 90mph when they want! Closing speed between 97mph and 137mph!!

This was always a tricky one for me to get over in the early days too:

Something about water makes any type of crash or incident quite fatal for a drone

I love the reflections in the water, especially the one of your drone, well done and brilliant editing too.

Thanks Lyn, the drone reflection was a fluke, I pressed the C1 button instead of C2, and set the gimnall down, then noticed the reflection and recorded it

Fluke or not it was brilliant.:grinning:
