We had the northern lights down in Hertfordshire twice last year (and that’s the first time ever). I am hoping they’ll appear again, as I also planned to get some drone shots and am glad someone has managed to do it successfully.
What settings did you use?
Hi I used iso100, 8sec exposure, jpeg 12mb. I have read that the 2025 is meant to be good for the northern lights, i think is is websites, and apps can tell you, I was doing a hyperlapse, and i noticed a purple tinge in the corner of the video and then i took some photos. luck sometimes

8 sec exposure - interesting. I’ve not tried anything near as long as that at night yet.
It will be interesting to try a hyperlapse with a longer exposure. Challenge accepted!
