NOTAM Permanent Leics to the Wash? Typo?

Surely there must be a typo, how can they ban all flights in this area permanently?

Thought this might be the case from the NOTAM text, but it’s actually just a frequency change rather than a flight restriction. Apparently Coningsby are sorting it/firing the work experience kid.

It could just be that the military exercise is ongoing without a known end date or specific times of the day and night and so they are covering all possibilities just in case.

Could also be the marshalling area for the Birthday Parade fly past for His Kingship the Maj.

Hopefully all the above is correct! I was due to fly today and was in a spin when I checked the drone assist app  I live smack bang in the middle of the now hopefully, work experience kid fail  I thought same as the first post how that could be permanent… would be a shocker!

Hello, new here. The Flight restriction notice has changed to above 500ft on Drone assist app, but still remains on the NOTAM map. I’ve had my drone for a few days and have not flown it yet because of this Flight restriction. Is it really an error? how do we know for sure? I need to know as I don’t want to take to the skies and cause problems.
Thank you.

Hi @BaintonBarnack, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

You’ve answered your own question:

Enjoy your perfectly legal 400ft flight
