November Sunrise, Mersey Gateway

A long awaited edit of footage from an early morning at the Mersey Gateway, taken back in November, but sadly neglected until recently as there was too much other footage to process…

Some vivid colours and reflections framing the amazing Mersey Gateway, add in a bit of smooth flying with the AIR3, a bit of DaVinci to edit and some music and voila, another relaxing video…

Nice video Suzanne,
In a previous life I worked on some of the detection and control systems for that bridge.
Its nice to see it looking so tranquil

Thanks Peter, it is quite a stunning piece of architecture as well as being a useful bridge, perhaps proof that we can still make beautiful things that are also utiitarian…

Have been sat on the footage for a while, hadn’t had time to edit it until last night, running out of footage to play with now as I think I have done the main edits for every flight we have done… May have to start making some shorts with the footage now, at least until we can get out and get some new footage

Thanks John… I could do with trying to capture the Forth Bridges in the same sort of light, but opportunity is the issue…

Thanks Rich, its not too bad, but I can see a little ‘crabbing’ on one of the tracking pans, I know I can do better, or am I just being hypercritical…

Your being hypercritical.:joy: It was great. :ok_hand:

Thanks Colin… And would you expect anything other than my being hypercritical about my own work? Lol

Thank you for the compliment Arran, muchly appreciated… I have only been flying drones for 18 months now, so if I can do it then anyone can… All you need to do is get out and practice as much as you can, fly as often and for as long as you can… Practice drone control, flying in multiple directiolns at once, ascending and flying sideways, and when happy wiith that add in a panning move opposite to the direction of your tracking…
Other than that, watch as much video from other flyers as you can, critique it, watch what they do well and how they do it. Then try it for yourself, and critique your own flying, note what works and where you can improve and try again…
Good luck, I am sure you will soon be as good as you want to be

Thanks Brian, you should come alnog to one of the Groups NW meet ups, if you are still living around here?

I’ll keep an eye out for the next one - guessing summer is busier for flying

Yes and No, we had 3 or 4 meet ups in December over the Yule period, which were well attended if windy and cold… I think the best day was New Years Day, when it was sunny and actually warm and still, was fun flying the AVATA at Beacn Country Park
