NW Tiny whoopers unite

Hi peeps, I was thinking of setting up an indoor Tinywhoop group for when the weather turns (Again) and thought I would pop on here to gauge interest and see if anyone had any insights in to doing something like this. Not sure if this is the right place for this so feel free to move the post.

So far I have found a venue that has a “small room” for £10 an hour and a “large room” for £20. Unfortunately they don’t actually say how small/large the rooms are.

We have ordered 2 since last time we met up and got some goggles. Interested even a old school hall would be good

Be careful, these little things get addictive. If anyone has a contact that could get us some space like a school hall that could be super useful.

Drone Circle do whoop meets through winter (or have done previously) at … Hang on, it’ll come to me …

Chelford Village Hall.

Yes and this should be back on again soon, think there two more outdoor DC events coming up, more than welcome to come @Schnauzer_FPV . Should have one or two more outdoor meets before move indoors. Where you based?

Hi, based in Chorley so it looks like about an hour away. Its a bit of a trek but may come down for some fun. Thanks for the invite.

To be honest, it’s a schlep for me too, from Derby (nice drive over the top if the weather’s good though). Especially if you turn up and realise you’ve left your tx antenna at home. :man_facepalming:

But I had no luck finding anything local and there’s quite a bit of stuff required if you’re starting out for yourself so in the end I’ll make the occasional pilgrimage.
