Hi Everyone !!
I had a privilege to be again in Old Harry Rocks .So second footage from Jurassic Coast ,this time with little bit go pro shots as well. Thanks for watching and listening disturbing music
I don’t know how you managed to walk that path over the top of the rock amazing , great video as well, im at Brown sea island for a week in July and was going to fly my mini 2 from the beach as its crown estate
I’ve flown at Old Harry and posted the YT link on GADC and am very impressed by your video, but I definitely would not have walked along the narrow clifftop path you took, far too scary!!! Great footage, well done.
Used to fly the paraglider to the end of those rocks … on an ideal day.
Great to hear that Dave . I wish I can do it instead fly with mini 2 Greetings !
Thank You Steven ! Was little bit scary on that cliff I would like to see your footage from there .Greetings !
Thanks Paul !! I will check your footage .Cliff was fun but on windy day could be more scary Greetings !!
I’m more used to paddle-boarding around OHR, has been a little scary on occasions…must take the drone with me one day and get some low down footage.
exactly ,worth to be there with drone
Jar when I go will post it on here, have stayed a few times in the castle its amazing place and a fantastic island, it won’t be until July
Great .I will definitely check your footage from there . Greetings !!
Nice, hope you enjoy your week. Just bear in mind that just over half of Brownsea Island airspace is in a CTR (Controlled Traffic Region). You can still fly in the CTR, it’s just a matter of phoning ATC at Bournemouth Airport, they are extremely helpful and I’ve not been refused once when asking for authorization. Their no. is 01202 364151.
@99_Drones there are no Fight Restrictions Zones there, you don’t need to call anyone for anything?
The CAA control ALL airspace whether it’s an FRZ, a controlled zone, Class D airspace or whatever, I have previously asked ATC if I needed to fly my Mini 2 in a CTR and even though it’s sub 250g and been informed you still need to let them know. I realise if there are no restrictions then there is no need to request permission.
Furthermore, ALL of Brownsea Island is National Trust, therefore taking off from anywhere on Brownsea is forbidden.
Ok.
Are you a JLP employee? I’ve been to the Castle as a local guest but never stayed.
I took photos of the castle and went on the roof many years ago as part of a local documentary project, lovy detail and construction.
I gather it goes all the way back to Henry VIII.
Looks great, footage like this makes me excited to get out. SO brave flying it over water, I ain’t doing that till I got at least 100 hrs, no make that 200 hrs of fly time!
Thank You Chris . Greetings !
Ive stayed at Brown sea castle many times , it leased by John Lewis on a 100 year lease, the island is mostly NT but not the John Lewis land I shall be flying from the beach on the John Lewis land which is Crown estate land and most of poole harbour is also the same, I don’t foresee any problems the laws the law in my eyes
My wife is a JLP partner, the castle was built by Henry VIII as you say , to protect from invading folk, you get the freedom of the island only a few people live there, it has lots of history on notice boards around the place, I also fish of the shore line to pass the time after 5 star food and drinks at 1 star prices
