Interesting observation on charging, I always charge mine off the OEM but charged it the other day for the Farm day video with one of the multi chargers.
It’s held it’s charge far longer than usual, I’ll delay the replacement for now while I experiment.
When using the OEM charger, I was also using what could be an inferior USB cable. I shall check out the next charge with a decent (Anker) cable.
My battery has arrived. 
Busy with other things, atm, but want to check charging from DJI mains charger with known good cable, before i open things up.
Been out burning some batterie this morning, the RC was on 96% from last week but can’t remember the day I charged it. I’ll be flying over the weekend so I’m going to drain the battery tomorrow to say 5% and see how it fares.
So drained the battery to 13% last Saturday, charged it as soon as I got in, just checked it and it’s still at 100% whereas it was draining down to around 38% in a week.
Is it possible that the OEM charger is no longer efficient after 5 years? I’ll hold onto the new battery for while before replacing the old one.
I’ve done a few test and (besides discovering that one USB cable I was using was iffy) only concluded that the speed with which it discharges is rather random - whether charged from the supplied charger or a decent new USB charger.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the current charge over the next week or so as I’m not planning on any flights with it.
Does it have a self discharge cycle….

Definitely not. There have been times when it’s barely discharged over a month. Just not recently.
I need to do some more testing. Been rather busy with multiple other things this last week.
Do you leave a drone-phone in the RC between uses?
I sometimes do - after fully charging both. And, with Android, the RC does charge the phone … but ONLY when the RC is on.
So - really - this shouldn’t change anything.
No I don’t, I’ve also turned off charging the phone from the RC, having said that I’ve started using my Nvidia shield more with Litchi as I get better stick response especially when flying around moving objects such as in the last farming clip.
