I got brave enough today to go further and higher in a big open space. Not a fantastic photo as it wasn’t composed as such just clipped it from video. (still too many things to think about to switch functions while I was flying!). As it was I’d forgotten how to turn on screen recording so opted for video instead. Still I thought I’d post something just because it was a baby step for a beginner.
I flew there in 2020, stayed on the campsite
Hi cduncan,
I know exactly how you feel remembering my first few flights and how nervous I was, it’s something we all go through. There is a lot to think about but once the drone is in the air you don’t need to worry or panic over anything. Take your fingers off the sticks and it will just hover giving you plenty of time to think and compose yourself.
Your photo’s not at all bad and you certainly picked the weather well, much better than the grot being served up at the moment in Wales.
I know Nairn quite well and have visited the marina a few times, dropping in to the SunDancer for a cuppa. The car park is amazing where you are “invited” to pay a parking fee but it’s not compulsory or enforced.
Just in case you can’t find the screen record all you have to do is drag down from the top of the screen once the fly app is running. Apologies for the overkill but I’ve added a short video for clarity. The timer and stop button at the bottom of the screen can be dragged to a different position if it’s in the way.
