Panorama calculator

As some of you may have seen in another post, I’m planning a shoot at Duxford in a couple of weeks’ time. IWM are fine with it, I have to negotiate the details with ATC, which is in hand. But I have a more general question and I thought the answer - if there is one - might be useful to other people…

Is there a tool that can calculate - or better still, display on a map - the coverage you get with a pano with a DJI drone? I use PlanIt Pro for my stills and drone photography and it’s great. It shows me the field of view from the Mini 3 Pro camera shooting straight down - and that’s confirmed that, to get the shot I’d ideally like, I need to be 360m above the airfield. Obviously a few problems with that, even if it wasn’t within an FRZ.

It would be great to be able to do the same thing and confirm that 119m and a pano would do the job.

PhotoPills does the exact same thing as you’ve mentioned above.

I can’t see any extras for panos. For what it’s worth though I have contacted them and ask them if it’s possible to do such a thing in a future edition as a feature enhancement.

Maybe you could ask Planit the same?

Thanks. That’s not a bad idea. He’s pretty responsive.

Thanks so much for reaching out and for the suggestion.

I’m jotting it down for the future.

Right now we’re working on a big project that will keep us busy for a while. But we’ll get there!

Thanks again,

That’s perfect! He’s definitely been easy to reach tried a working hour calculator.
