Peak District "low" pass plane

Filmed today 04/04/25 perfectly legal place to fly, windy but within specs, my drone was around 15mt above the water

Wow what a shot. Glad you turned to the left as the shadow over the trees and the ground of the plane look great too.

Impressive, agreed. It was quite low, the 120mt rule was important in this case

Nice shot. Aircraft is Airbus A400; impressive, aren’t they? RAF phased out C130 Hercules last year.

There is a lot of very low flying military activity all the way down the Derwent valley. This came about 100ft over our house in Matlock. Ideally ring the RAF Safety Cell and let them know when and where you are flying if in this area.

I think that’s the one that came over my house earlier! Nice catch!

I thought it was an Atlas A400..but I’m not an expert

Manufactured by Airbus.

Great advice mate. The only reason why I was not at 80/100mt it was due to the wind..are you flying there sometimes?

Not specifically at the dams but a lot in or close to the valley. Two Typhoons a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely no chance of seeing or hearing them before they’re on top of you.

PM me if you fancy company when you go, I live in Chesterfield
