I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Free parking is available along the length of the Esplanade, usually limited to two hours, but check.
Access is very easy via the ramp opposite the RNLI, or a number of stepped entrances onto the beach.
I have TOL from the actual esplanade with my Mini 3 pro and Mavic 3 with no issues, just follow the drone code.
You can get some stunning shots of the pier at sunrise and througout the day. Just behind the Esplanade is Alexandra Park, Windsor Gardens and Central Park .

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 27/03/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

This is a very good location. Flew from here today around the pier.

Iā€™m not sure how routine this is but Wales Air Ambulance were flying very low today over the pier, but only seemed to be flying over rather than attending the area. Not sure if this happens frequently but keep a good eye out.
