At the BM ..
.. because I had no idea what mode I’d left it in some years ago when I was playing with full manual mode, and flips .. and I didn’t want to kill anyone .. or any dog.
Anyway - attempts at installing the drivers on my laptop at the BM came to nothing (despite help from @callum , @Nik469 and @SparkyFPV ) since Windows 10 was blocking the install.
Much, much, much Googling today has revealed a few things ..
- I’d TOTALLY forgotten how to change the relevant settings
- You don’t do it on the RC (
) .. you change how the P2 responds to the RC.
- The drivers I’d installed when I did this years ago were still there and working, I found out after …
- Installing the drivers from a new download is possible … and most suggested methods I discovered don’t work
. Eventually I found one that did work ..
– Run Command Prompts in Administrator mode
– Run the DJI_WIN_Driver_Installer.exe
So effing simple after hacking Registry / Defender / User Access Controls .. and other things - following all the non-working suggestions.
That’s 4 hours I won’t get back.
Anyway - anyone else contemplating (and for my own reference in another 5 years ), this YT vid covers the actual settings.
It turns out I had set it back to normal parameters after the last time I was being daft .. so all was safe at the BM and I probably wouldn’t have killed anyone.
Now I need to find a very large space to try and be silly again.
Always had the even more silly idea of using the Mavic Pro to video the P2 doing a flip. #WhatCouldPossiblyFoWrong?
.. watch this space.
