I have a Phantom 3 advanced which I purchased almost new and have used it about a dozen times but after my last sortie I noticed that one of the arms beneath the motor has cracked in several places on the lower casing. I haven’t had any hard landings or anything like that but obviously need to have it repaired. My problem is that I cannot find where I can get my drone repaired as I previously had a Phantom 3 standard which had a mishap and broke the camera arm/s and was unable to find anyone to repair it as they all said that they do not repair Phantom 3’s any more - hence the 3 Advanced I now have. Does anyone know where I can get my drone repaired as I am uneasy about just glueing it with Gorilla glue? I live below the Preston area.
Have you looked on eBay for a replacement airframe?
If it’s the two part epoxy, you’ll be fine.
For proper repairs though, most members here recommend Drone Doctor:
Hi Bob.
If it’s stress cracks around the motor mounting bolts, get a set of these.
eBay item number:154691362749
Glue around the cracks first, then when that’s set stick these on, they’ll support and strengthen the motor mounts and give you a few more years with the Phantom.
Forget about buying some, Bob, PM your address and I’ll send you a set I’ve just found…
Thanks for that. I did look on ebay at the weekend and there are some on there but don’t fancy trying to do it myself after getting stuck trying to replace a broken gimbal part on my old P3 Std. This also suffered from the same cracking problem and tbh, I did just glue that and it was ok - until I had to bring it down very quickly to prevent it hitting a stationary car hence the broken gimbal. Anyway I’ll email Drone Doctor and see where that gets me.
Thanks again
Rob
Thanks for that I’ll have to give it a go as I have tried Drone Doctor, Droneworx but they just don’t want to know the Phantom 3 any more and I am a bit concerned about replacing the lower shell myself as I ended up in a complete mess trying to replace several gimbal parts on my P3 Std after having to bring it down- quickly, very quickly - and breaking the camera off. Hence why I upgraded to a P3 Advanced.
Thanks again
Rob
Thanks - I was replying when your second email came through.

Let me know how much I owe you and I’ll get it to you.

John, as a subscribed member you will have to initiate the PM to @Boblyn for his address.
OK mate, I was just writing down the address so I could delete it, but you beat me to it!
I passed your address on to @Hotrodspike in a PM.
Don’t want anything for them mate, my P3 went years ago. I bought them just in case I developed the dreaded cracks! I’ll try to get them in the post tomorrow, but probably be Thursday.
John
Thanks a lot John. With being quite new I didn’t realise about the PB bit. I suppose it like Linkedin for PM’s.
Thanks for that I should have realised.
Sorry PM.
Try drone doctor??
Tried them but they don’t want to know P3’s
ugh. It’s annoying when companies don’t care about older products!
Hope you find a solution
The other side of that is that of people didn’t break their drones they’d probably still have a mountain of unwanted spare parts.
yeah, Hahahaha!!!
