A friend has purchased a new one boxed in original packing he thinks for a family member to be flown in Italy. He is having a problem with one of the two batteries he is attempting to charge - it lights for awhile when charging and then it stops - I don’t think he has tried the second.
I imagine it is the age of the battery and as the drone out of reach and I have no knowledge of it I thought a member/s could offer some thoughts please.

Sounds like a dead battery. There’s vids on YT on how to revive them, but I’ve never heard of anybody having any luck with them. It’s probably been stored at a low voltage for too long and gone into hibernation mode, never to be awoken again.
Hi sounds like you need a new battery, had the same issue, tried the y/t route did not work.
