Tiny little harbour with lock gate - sure is amazing what you come across!

Its said to be the smallest man made harbour in the uka steam generator and compress air.
In 1890, the local landowner, Andrew Laidlay, used a steam engine and compressed air to slice a rectangular bite out of this lump of rock. Even today, this would be a remarkable achievement. The harbour is only 40 feet long, and the entrance is barely 10 feet across, with a sharp corner to navigate as you come in.

I’ve been to Seacliff beach many times with the dog, totally unaware this was there! Always went the other way and just pottered about watching the gannets! Love the top down shot of the harbour, need to go for a look now!
