Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall - 240ft FPV dive

This was the top spot on my recent trip to North Wales. I’ve seen a few people who’ve flown Mavic type drones here, but I was looking for that FPV moment. :sunglasses: This was with a Crux35 HD with a little GoPro Hero 4 onboard that I picked up recently for a bargain price.

It’s taken 3yrs of practice to work up the courage to attempt this :face_with_peeking_eye: This hobby is completely bonkers, I’ve never done anything quite like it - and I don’t think there is anything that gives this sort of adrenaline rush with your feet on the ground.

The falls are 240ft top to bottom. I did three attempts and had to take a break as my hands were shaking so much. Absolute stonking location - and we had the place to ourselves!

Brilliant job, well done… I flew my MINI3 Pro there not long after getting it and got some cool footage, but FPV on that drop is amazing…

In my pre-planning fantasies… I was going straight through that :joy::man_facepalming:

Last summer I was flying up there early one morning and the water level was low. I managed to fly through the “eye” halfway up. You can only do that when the water level is really low and have a VERY steady hand. The big “dumbo” moment was I forgot to record the flight.
Just blame it on my age!!!
