From the Dronescene map - developed, maintained and updated by GADC members, CAA approved and the best place to find the latest flight restrictions and tested places to fly.

Login with your GADC user name and your email address. There are switchable layers = showing in the screenshot is a yellow circle - caution - there seems to be an airfield at Maypole Farm, probably a private strip used occasionally… The purplesquiggles and shapes indicate Crown Estates property - they are happy for you to fly there as long as you obey the drone code.

The blue areas show upcoming temporary restrictions. Click on any object to learn more. And the green markers? They are sites that someone has flown and has taken a few minutes to add the details to the map, again, click on them to find out more.

Not sure how to update this on the map, or indeed if flying is allowed over it now, but Maypole is now closed permanently, as of May 2021. I can’t find any official notice of closure (their website is now offline) but there are a number of sources that confirm it:

Is there a process to check this out and update the Dronescene map?

Apologies, i’m new here.

Thanks for adding this information.

Drone Scene still shows this as an airfield, this information being retrieved, live, from Altitude Angel. So, without them declassifying the site, this will continue to display.

However, there is no FRZ associated to the site - and is only shown as a warning under the Airports layer, to advise of a “risk” … a risk that is pretty low.
