Poldhu Beech - Added to Beaches and Seaside Resorts in South West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

You can park at the top of the cliff road (free) or down in the beach car park (paid).

In order to fly DJI you have to unlock although this is outside the FRZ for Culdrose and Predannack airfield and has no restrictions to fly within the laws on altitude angel.

I normally give the control tower a call to let them know.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 07/03/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Beautiful !

Probably the first ever pano where almost all you can see is FRZ whilst not being in one. :+1:

I want to fly here @TMVideos, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Would you be able to add some to the map please?

Just about to go for a walk around the cove and visit the amazing Poldhu cafe. Have called Culdrose ATC and confirmed it is ok to fly, but careful to keep around the cove. Both airfields are active and busy today.

All done.

Also I made this last year

Thanks. In the end I decided not to fly as a few helicopters came overhead, rather low. Didnt want to upset anyone.

I had spoken to Culdrose ATC earlier and they said they were very active that day but i was ok to fly at the cove. However it seemed a bit busy directly above the cove so didnt fly.

Went to St Mawes today and got some nice sunset and castle shots…:+1:
