Portsmouth Meet Up…Coming Soon! Easter Saturday 19th April - Alexandra Park

I’ve looked at a few forecasts, and whilst none are suggesting blue skies, sunshine, a heatwave and zero wind … some look doable and none will be correct.

Happier for it to be cancelled Fri evening than discover afterwards that it would have been easily flyable. :+1:

An early start, then.

Hey Dave @OzoneVibe that sounds good to me :ok_hand: Hopefully, the weather improves in our favour and all goes ahead as previously planned. :crossed_fingers:

This happened yesterday and is opposite where the TOAL is.

Nice one

I’ve seen worse .. and who knows what it will really be like. But I can live with this ..

(Yeah, for Southsea, but should be little different.)

The other option would be to move the Meet Up to either Easter Sunday or Easter Monday as both are showing better chances of no rain at all for either day!…just looking at all the possibilities! What do you think?

Today, for the drone rescue, the forecast hadn’t been cheery, even last night .. but reality it couldn’t have been better.

I’m happy to see how things plan out

I’m home now - checked diary - could do Sunday or Monday if Sat ends up being a no-go.

Less chance of rain on Sunday - per current forecast - but things change.

The forecasts are getting worse for tomorrow. :frowning:

I was supposed to be doing some footage tomorrow as a favour in Old Portsmouth. I’ve knocked it on the head due to the forecast.

As luck would have it I’m actually in Portsmouth this weekend, so would have been able to make this. Sadly the weather seems to have other ideas! My Mum and sister are on a cruise out of Southampton later and the threat of rain has put paid to my idea of trying to get a few shots of the ship heading out…

Currently Monday is looking most likely (I’ll leave that decision to @Topscooby), but I guess you may not still be around by then.

Unfortunately I’m Norwich-bound again on Sunday, but hope the weather improves and you all have a good one!

If you were planning to capture the vessel from Pompey, that’s quite a distance out to the channel where the cruise ships transit.

No, I would have flown from Southampton if the weather wasn’t abysmal.

I was over one of the Aida vessels last night, great conditions before the shite weather rolled in.

Guy’s, the forecast currently is that the rain should stop by lunchtime tomorrow. However, I’m going to review the situation later tonight and then make a final call. At the moment I’m erring towards moving to Sunday…watch this space! :crossed_fingers:

Still looking pants until lunchtime tomorrow so I’m going to sleep on it and make a final decision in the morning. :crossed_fingers:
