Positive and Negative - Capacitor

New to this, electronics, Copilot AI says the longer side is the positive side, can anyone confirm this please?
Thanks
Lloyd

This is an arrow, pointing towards the negative side

It’s usually only the negative side that’s marked, here’s a bunch of other markings so you can get a feel for how different manufacturers print theirs:

Yeah and don’t put it the wrong way round… BOOM! (I used to blow them up at school), teacher was annoyed, saying I had to pay for them, and as the git I am I brought £10 to the next science lesson to buy a load to blow up!

They make a lovely noise when they go through a reflow oven whose entrance aint tall enough, then they all fall over onto the ceramic heating elements

done that a couple of times - unintentionally of course

At college we charged bigger ones up with an old style wind up insulation tester.

Got a great crack off it when you threw it to someone and shouted catch.

Some capacitors hold their charge for a long time too. Those in guitar valve amps can give you a belt a few days after the amp has last been used.
