Potential drone meetup at The Essex Kite Park, near Southend-on-Sea?

Hi everyone,

Just putting this out there to see if anyone would be interested in a drone meet-up in Essex sometime? No rush — it doesn’t have to be this year.

I live near Southend-on-Sea, and there’s a great spot called **The Essex Kite Park, a 22-acre open field. It’s mainly used for kites, but they also welcome drones, as long as we stick to one side of the field. There’s also a massive farm field next door, which adds even more flying space.

The park is within Southend Airport’s control zone, but don’t worry, we’re allowed to operate there, and I can help sort any necessary permissions. I’m good friends with the owner, so I can get full details if there’s enough interest.

Camping is allowed, and there are toilets and showers on site too.

If this sounds like something you’d be up for, just let me know and I’ll start looking into it more.

Hi Norm @skytractor, I live in Basildon and would be up for a drone meet up. Just let us know when and we can check our diaries, I have a couple of friends who also own drones and might be interested too.
