Would this be any good for use with the Mini 2 charging hub?

You’d probably not charge all three batteries from that, if that was your intention?
3x Mini 2 batteries total less than 7ah. I’d have hoped a 20ah bank could manage 3?
I use this and it does the job

I stand corrected
Although it is almost dead after doing 3 Mini batteries (not tired the M2) 20 ish-100% charges, so I don’t buy in to all that bullshit capacity amp stuff
I have a Baseus Power Bank, Portable Charger 30000mAh under £25 i haven’t used it for the Mini 2 batteries yet but i have charged 6 go pro batteries from dead to full and it was still over 50% full
Interesting topic to read as I just purchased this
with two of these so I can charge two batteries simultaneously.
I drained one of my Air2S batteries to 10 percent to test how long it took to charge and to see how much juice it took.
My thinking was a 20000mAh pack would be able to charge at least 4 3500mhA before it ran flat but one battery on charge took 68% from the battery pack. Is that right? It was pretty fast, doing it in 70 mins but now I’m reluctant to keep it if it’s not going to be able to charge more and a battery and a third from 100% fully charged.
I’m a bit disappointed.
I have this and it charges 3 Mini 2 batteries no worries and on fast charge
These powerbanks very rarely give out what the manufacturers claim. I just bought one rated at 30600mAh and I would say its actually at least 25% below that. In saying that, I have read that LiPos need broken in, something to do with chemicals that are there to give a longer shelf life. They supposedly break down over a few charge/discharge cycles and it will start giving better performance. I’ve been through 5 or 6 cycles so far but made no difference yet.
All the mAh is based on voltage, so a 5V 1000mAh, would only be 10V 500mAh. So I assume the mini 2 batteries are 4S @ a guess? Let’s asssume 2,000mAh capacity…
You want watts. 5V X 10A = 50W from the power bank. a 16.8V x 2A = 33.6W. So you can charge 1.5V mini 2 batteries (or a 4S 2,000mAh battery). Obviously you don’t ever need to TOTALLY fill a battery, so a 10,000mAh power bank, may get close to charging 3 mini 2 batteries. I don’t know their capacity or voltage TBH. Just remember to convert to watts, and they normally advertise these at mAh based on 5V
To add the Mini 2 uses 2250 mAh 2S. So that’s 8.4V. So needs around 19W. So yeah a 10,000mAh 5V probably do it… Just
The mini2 batteries are 7.7V and 2250mAh.
Max charge voltage is 8.8V
Also I’ve got 4 of these batteries, and they’ve been great for Oculus, charging my phone, and also for my goggles power out on the field! Charge them from solar off of my leisure battery!
DJI Mini 2 - Specifications - DJI on here (that’s where I got them, heh)
That’s where I’ve been going wrong then!!! My calculations were rather shoddy. I’ll maybe have to revisit the negative feedback I left for them!!
Well 5V compared to 8.4/8.8 is probably around your 25%, heh. Once you know you know, took me a while until my old boss explained it last year to me! So my 12v leisure battery of 70,000mAh, can do loads of 10,000 5V devices (14/15 odd), but 6S batteries at 25V… not as many.
So Volts x Amps (capacity) = Watts. Convert to watts and you can compare. Obviously you never drain a battery completely (or if you do, you won’t get a lipo back!) These cheeky power bank sellers will nearly always use the 5V capacity value
That mini page actually states 17.32Wh… So you’re 10Ah 5V = 50Wh
This is stuff I should know, im an electrical engineer to trade, albeit a rather lowly NC
The spec I’ve read for an Air 2s battery is 3500mah so that pack should charge at least 3. I had a similar situation, 20000 pack only charged 1 battery. Seller replaced it and the replacement charges all 4 of my Mini 2 batteries.
