Premiere Pro vs Final Cut Pro

Have been using Premiere Pro, but have realised that my exported videos are a bit stuttery on Youtube.

These are basically the same video - made from the same source footage and music
Premiere Pro

Final Cut Pro

I noticed that the Final Cut version had less stuttering / dropped frames than the Premiere Pro version.

On Premiere Pro I had been leaving the default options (match source, Adaptive High Bitrate)
On Final Cut Pro I selected H.264 as the Codec rather than the Apple specific ones.

Upload settings on Youtube have been the same for both.

any idea what is causing the issue in Premiere Pro? - I prefer its workflow and would rather be able to fix it for future videos.

EDIT: the embedded videos don’t show the issue - visit the respective YouTube pages to compare them

Not really.

However you recorded initially, you’ve uploaded two different frame rates.

That must be something in the Premiere Pro settings - I’ll need to find where it is.

Thought I was matching the source frame rate

Well - somewhere they’re not staying the same - that’s all I can tell you.

I don’t use either - but if the timeline frame rate is correct, then it must be the render settings. (I only use DaVinci Resolve … so that’s the way my brain and terminology works.)

Hopefully you can find where it’s deviating from the intended frame rate.
