Hello everyone,
My name is Seb and I’m 51 years old. I started flying a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V1 just a few days ago; I replaced the original remote controller with a GL300E, and I’ve already unlocked the latter to 5.8 GHz and switched the language to French.
I’ve spent the last 15 years immersed in the Android world, alongside all my other hobbies.

Hello you old fox!
Welcome to Les Flèches grises. All the committee are at the second of our annual Big Meets this weekend so you may not get the full welcome package so I have taken the liberty of copying and pasting it for you:

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the trophyChallenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the trophyChallenges category for more information.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the person_raising_hand:t2Questions & Answers category.
And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.
Welcome once again!
Where are you?
And it sounds as if you are handy with electronics - you may get many requests for information from those of us who are unschooled in that subject!
Hi Seb
Welcome to GADC

hello everyone and thank you for your welcome.
gifted I don’t know
but I can’t bear to buy something that actually doesn’t allow me to do what I want or restricts me by an obscure security policy.
the root of my remote control brought me to this forum, but impossible to access the relevant discussion file. apparently you have to pay to access it. This goes against my idea of forums. well I’m going to get my hands dirty and invent my own way to root my dji GL300E, Google’s AI is playful on this subject
but with the right questions it’s perfect.
Yes, if someone can advise me on the forum’s policy regarding modification (debridement and other modifications) that I am not breaking the rules. I see thanks in advance ![]()
looking forward to reading you.
And no I’m not old, I was just born before some people ![]()
There is a whole category devoted to modificarions: Modifications & Firmware Updates - Grey Arrows Drone Club UK so go ahead, tell us all about the things you are modifying.
I get annoyed by DJI changing things unneccesarily, for intance the Inspire 2 controller works with the Matrice 200v1 but not the Matrice 200v2. The Cendence controller for the v1 has to be the Cendence S to work with the V2. I’d love to know the differences and if one controller could rule them all!
from what I have read it is not the same technology
Generation V1 (Inspire 2 / Matrice 200 V1) uses the Lightbridge HD radio transmission system
while
Generation V2 (Matrix 200 V2
uses OcuSync 2.0 technology. Protocols and hardware chips do not speak the same radio “language”
