Not posted for a while but that doesn’t mean I’ve not not been up to much.
First, I’ve upgraded from the Mini 3 Pro I began with to a Mini 4 Pro. I got a reasonable price for the 3 and with a voucher from Very it only cost a couple of hundred quid to swap so it was worth it to me.
I’ve been out and about with my Air 3, really like this thing, it’s a great all rounder with amazing range plus a great camera. A couple of videos below, the only minor negative observations are that sometimes on very clear days with the sun at a low angle there’s some phasing between the prop RPM and camera frame rate, which is visible on the video. Not so much can be done about that I guess, maybe some ND filters would help by reducing the glare and /or light intensity?
And after resisting the temptation for a while I finally caved in and got an Avata pro view combo to play with. I was holding off initially as I suspect DJI may be releasing a new version soonish, but with the black Friday deals I thought ‘oh F### it’, life’s too short lol.
First flight with it yesterday, I’m fortunate that we live in the countryside and have fields all round us. Very different to the other two but lots of fun for sure, looking forward to going a few places with it to see what it can really do. Here’s a quick clip of my first go, nothing exciting just a lap of the ‘track’ next to our house hehe. Not fishing for views but would anyone mind checking the video quality for me please? the reason I ask is that our internet speed is rubbish here (the downside of rural residence) so I can’t see if it looks OK with the settings I’ve used. Going to have to get Starlink sorted!
