I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
Land owner permission requirements unknown.
Two stunning examples of church history dating back to pre-reformation times. One is now a ruin, destroyed by Henry VIII & Thomas Cromwell, the other is still an active place of worship, serving God and the community for eight centuries.
If you want along the canalside you can get a beautiful view of the ruins from just below the lock. That is also where I flew from. You certainly should not go on his private land, he has that well signposted, but he does not own the air above that land and on a sunny late afternoon it can look really great. The church is also very much worth the visit!
I want to fly here, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Can anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some markers to the map please?
