It’s my Mrs’s 50th birthday tomorrow so I dropped in and picked her up for a flight, took the opportunity to get a quick drone video before we got off.

Thank you Wayne, much appreciated - sorry for the hassle
No worries Andy, loved the landing in the garden but was worried about them trees
Hehe, me too mate, me too. Replacement blades are a lot cheaper for the Air 3 than for an R44
Nice flying. in both videos!
hi @greyfive, my wife bought me a helicopter lesson at Wellsbourne air field Stratford for my 50th birthday, loved it, 24 years ago, so happy birthday
Oh wow Im sure i saw you the other day in that helicopter! I work in markham vale Bolsover.
@GreyFive Love to seecthe size of the RC for the 1st video Andy.
Nice skills in both flights matey.
Nice one, great fun aren’t they… I’ve been at it since 2017 and still loving it just as much as my first go
Yes that was us for sure, in fact that was birthday girl herself doing the flying as we went over Markham Vale, we’d just lifted out of the garden for her leg of a flight to Beverley Airfield (we live close to Hardwick Hall). I even caught us going over on video
Controller isn’t that bad (see below) , actually I’d hazard a guess that the skills required for heli are similar to those needed for flying an FPV drone well in manual mode insomuch that multitasking is the name of the game:
My above comment actually raises an interesting point. I went ahead and bought myself an Avata and Pro controller for Christmas, with the intention of swapping over to the manual controller to try manual mode flying. I can fly the Avata FPV with the Pro controller no problem, but when I try to use the manual controller in the DJI training sim it makes me feel really ill within a few minutes, so much so that I have to stop or risk seeing my breakfast again
Nice flying skills in quite a tight fit. Well done.
