RAF Attlebridge - Added to Historic Buildings in East of England

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Used as an airbase between 1941 and 1950, first briefly by RAF Bomber Command before the site was handed over to the US Air Force in late 1942.

The site is now home to a solar farm and two wind turbines, and the runways are now occupied by turkey sheds.

There is a hard standing next to the road where the pin is placed, which has plenty of space for parking and allows a good view of the site for VLOS.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 29/01/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
