RAF low-level training across Scotland (6th - 21st Feb 2025)

From 6th-21st February RAF Chinooks & Pumas will be training out of Leuchars Aerodrome. They will be operating across a variety of locations including the Central Belt, Tayside, and the Highlands.

Depending on operational requirements, there may be the possibility of these aircraft operating at low altitudes and during irregular hours.

Please share to those who may have to make arrangements for livestock, or to those who may be concerned at the increased military aircraft presence. We thank everyone for their continued support :muscle:

Their flight path over Edinburgh airport normally takes them over my house. So no doubt I’ll be hearing them soon.

I was on 7 sqn chinooks sqn back on the 80’s sitting in the back felt like sitting in a bus. And there was a period in time when they used to try and chop themselves in half.they where the work horse of the Falklands or I should say c/s Bravo November was.
