Ray-ban Meta - footage

Yesterday I collected my prescription Ray-ban Meta Wayfarer glasses and on the drive home, I shot this short bit of footage.

The default recording setting was 1080p, however they will record in 3K.

What did surprise me, was the clarity of the sound that was picked up by the mics built into the glasses.

I’m sure I’ll be sharing loads more in the future.

WTF you’ve been robbed of 1k :scream:

It’s probably got something to do with the aspect ratio of the sensor, they only record in portrait and not landscape.

Don’t be sharing any of that ;o)

Fixed it for you…

I have to say, I do find them intriguing. But what I am more interested in are glasses that work as displays within my field of vision. Like a headup display in some cars. I am not too sure I would make use of the camera a lot. The audio speakers that are built in sound very interesting.

Then this thread may interest you : Just bought the Rayneo Air 4 Pro AR glasses for use with RC2 - amazing!

Yes I saw this the other day. Very interesting. Thank you. M

These should satisfy your requirements, however their $1000 at the moment, without the prescription lens.

Thanks @JoeC

That’s the problem with the Mini JCW, it’s goes from standstill to 80mph way too easy / fast and then keeps going to an electrically restricted 155mph.

However I’ve not tried it (yet):wink:

I’ve seen a couple of YT videos of the Mini JCW doing 250 km / hr on the German autobahn.

My other half being blind finds these very useful (she had the first generation ones) originally had to use through a vpn to pretend she was in the states due to different privacy laws, now all sorted and no longer needed. However her guide dog ate them, couldn’t stand the competition.:joy_cat:

They were replaced with Oakley,s due to better weather resistance (at the time) I believe that the 2nd gen Ray Bans have improved weather resistance.

It means she can get assistance navigating unfamiliar environments, read labels & a whole lot more.
