Reading festival

Just a couple of shots when I was out on a quick test with the drone , just got it back from repair today , so just a test really to check all is fine so nothing to shout about , but just grabbed a couple of shots of reading festival still being put together , rather them than me takes around the clock of 4.5 weeks to set up & about the same to clear up after the soap dodgers have partied hard I guess , in one or two of the pictures there’s a temporary like army style bridge they put across the Thames , to get from place to another , security here is very tight , just to add , my mate many years ago tried to climb in when the fences they put up was like galvanised wire , he failed sadly when the ring he was wearing got caught in the fence & took his finger clean off ! :scream:

Yea  there’s a few people not on my Santa list due to go ,

So happy days really ….

It gets worse every year , not that I was there to see it , I also heard peoples tents got set on fire , well naughty ! :fearful:

People are way too entitled to take crap home with them these days.

Seen plenty of videos that mention bottles of piss being thrown about.
Not sure I’d want to take a piss-soaked tent home either :man_shrugging:

I wonder, what’s the point of me recycling and reducing car and fossil fuel use for those who will inherit the planet from me if the state of the festival site is any indication of their sense of responsibilty to ward the earth?

You should see the beaches after a bank holiday, 30 or 40 tons of BBQs and crap that people just abandon for some other poor sod to clean up

and yet there is a apparently a crisis where nobody can afford anything…

I live by a beach and walk there almost every day. “Bin bag and picker upper”, especially after a weekend
