Removing the stock lens from my new M2Z was so stressful!

On some of the DJI drones there’s a “thingamajig” with clear glass in it that you have to remove to be able to attach filters. That “thingamajig” is not a “lens cap”.

With a regular camera lens, its usually just called the “front glass”. Sacrificial part ti protect the actual lens behind.
I assume you are wanting to replace the front glass with a filter.

Still a filter.

Front glass (or element) is a physical part of the lens

If you can’t take/show a picture without it …
… it is a lens!
Anything else is a filter!
