River Dee with Banchory golf course in view, Aberdeenshire

Went out for a long walk looking for birthday challenge targets. Couldn’t get up the hill I wanted to as there is still 1 million tons worth of fallen trees (from Storm Arwen) blocking all the tracks to Scolty monument. They normally remove 90,000 tons worth of trees per year from the area. 10 years worth of damaged trees to shift.

Just a small sample of the tiny trees at the bottom of Scolty Hill that were damaged with Storm Arwen. The bigger trees are further up the hill. Might visit later and push the drone up the hill to get a birds eye view of damaged area.
