River Thames from Gravesend - Added to Rivers and Canals in South East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Easy parking and lots of space to TOAL. Quite a lot of river traffic, police boats, big ships, pilot cutters etc to photograph. Well worth hanging around for a while to see what turns up. The locals were very friendly.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 28/08/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

@grandad1950 David check out the website vesselfinder.com its brilliant, you select the place you are flying tap on the different coloured arrow heads and it shows you the identity of the vessels, i.e. container ship, tug, pleasure craft etc. and the name of the vessel and what country flag it is flying. Ive had great fun using the website at the beach.

thanks for the heads up, I will give it a try

I use the Marinetraffic App… No difference in what it does to vesselfinder but the ship icons are more manageable and not as large.

I’ve flown here too @grandad1950

Hi @SapperFlyer, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:
